Description
‘Pride of Mobile’ is a magnificent heat and sun tolerant Southern Indica Hybrid Azalea that produces a profusion of large, 3 to 4 inch diameter vibrant rose-pink flowers with elongated red stamens protruding outward from the center as well as a large red speckled blotch! Truly spectacular in groupings or as a natural hedge in sunny to partially shaded landscape and woodland borders.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 6 to 8 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide, the Pride of Mobile Azalea is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings or mass plantings, or to form a natural hedge in landscape and woodland borders. It is also useful to plant against large open walls in home foundation plantings. Butterflies love the flowers, and blooming branches serve very well for cutting to create stunning indoor floral arrangements. A fine addition to Azalea gardens, pink theme gardens, and cottage gardens
Suggested Spacing: 5 feet apart for solid hedges; 12 feet apart for space between plants

Growing Preferences
Southern Indica Azaleas are very easy to grow in a moist but well-drained acidic soil of average or better fertility and full sun to part shade. When established, plants have good drought tolerance. No pruning is necessary however plants can be pruned for shaping purposes or to control size.

My husband and I have been looking for Pride of Mobile Azaleas for years and either the nurseries did not stock this plant or they were sold out. I searched the web periodically with no luck. A few weeks ago I tried again and found your nursery placed a phone call and a person actually answered and confirmed you guys did have these beautiful azaleas. I went online easily placed my ordered and within days I had 6 healthy azaleas that were properly packaged and ready to plant. The next day we followed the instructions on your website and tested the soil. I also downloaded instructions about pruning and fertilizing so we can enjoy healthy azalea’s for a long time. We do plan on adding more POMA in the near future.
The reason I choose your nursery is your website was user friendly, the person that answered the phone was kind and helpful, ordering was easy, instructions for taking care of our plants were included, and I received healthy azaleas.
What more could you ask for.———————————————-Awesome! We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
